Cricket was played in the area as early as 1919, but the club was not officially formed until 1921 when the local young men returned from service during World War 1.
A 100th working group has been formed and this event is now planned and ready to go!!
The celebrations will be held over the Waitangi Weekend between Friday 5th Feb 2021 - Monday 8th Feb 2021.
The tickets cost $100.00 each and cover the full weekends events. The club is looking to celebrate the 100th in style so please purchase your tickets and come along and join us.
This has and is a wonderful club and we can't wait to bring the local community, current and past members and followers together for a special club celebration.

Hi Weraroa Members / Followers / Supporters
It’s not far away! Please find below some details regarding the Jubilee celebrations, and the running order of events over the weekend.

We have arranged for every attendee to have a lanyard and ID card for over the weekend, which can be collected from the clubrooms on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, or from the Cosmopolitan Club on Sunday night.

The Weraroa Centenary Working Group has been created and at present we only have a small group of 6 helpers and we are looking for up to 20+ club helpers to all work together and complete many small jobs required to make the best weekend ever.
The key is for 20+ people all completing 1-2 small jobs.
You don't need to live in Levin to help, as we run live Zoom meetings and you are linked to the Facebook group page for all updates. At present we already have helpers in the group from Australia.
Peter Davies, a Life Member and former President is the Weraroa CC 100th Centenary Co-Ordinator. He has designed a live working sheet that can be linked to your email address / Inbox and has tasks added that support is required for.
We are looking for people to join the club 100th working group to add power and support to the current small team engine we have.
We have set up a Facebook Group Page and anyone wanting to help and support are more than welcome to be part of this 100th working group.
Thanks
Weraroa CC 100th Working Group
